Museum Class – Slow Art

The slower you look, the more you see. During the Slow Art museum class, we focus on just one or two works of art.

Guided tour with creative activities

What happens when you really take the time to look? You begin to notice details you might otherwise miss. Together, your class will get to know a piece of work in depth. An experienced educator will introduce a different way of looking. This is an interactive session in which the pupils' own observations play a central role. Your guide will adapt the pace to suit your group, with plenty of time for questions.

Would you like to end the museum class with a creative writing or drawing activity? That can be arranged. Please email us at hvb@mechelen.be and we’ll help you plan the ideal Slow Art session.

Pupils learn to:

  • look closely and in new ways
  • describe what they see
